★ Soviet Victory Day May 9, 1945. First ceremonial Victory Parade on 24 June 1945.

★ European Victory Day on May 8th.

★ American Victory Day or VJ Day on the second Monday of August.

★ Atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima on August 6 and Nagasaki on August 9.
